LIBRARY AND MEDIA CENTER

The High Pointe Library and Media Center serves all students during their Library Specials.  Students have the opportunity to check out books in grades 1-5. Kindergarten students select library books to read in class. Students in grade 1 are allowed to check out one book each week.

Students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 may check out two books at a time for one week.  Books may be rechecked one time for an additional week.  After the second week, students are asked to return books so that others may read them also.

Students who have knowingly lost or damaged a book or have items that are overdue will not be able to check out additional books until their account is clear.  All  lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the student who checked out the book.  The Library does not charge a fine for an overdue book.  If a book is lost or damaged, the replacement cost is $5.00. per item.
